We have visited many Italian reataurants throughout Ontario from Brockville to Niagara Falls, Oshawa to North Bay and Avanti's in Oshawa is number one. Not because we live here, because of the food, the service, the friendly atmosphere and the cleanliness of this establishment. Their Fusilli in Bianco is our favorite. We have dined there many times before Oshawa Generals Hockey games and Shows at the newly renovated Regent Theatre. And we are so proud to mention Avanti's everywhere we go. My family came down from Montreal and Pembroke to celebrate the Christening of my granddaughter. We chose Tosca's because of the food and the service. The waiters were so friendly and paid attention to the needs of the clients. The food was delicious! We were a group of 24. I would definitely choose this venue as the place to host a party. Mike the owner of Bella Notte has done a fabulous job on making such a quiant atmosphere. He has pictures on the walls of him and the generations before him and this is Italian history at its finest. I really enjoy supporting the local businesses in my neighbourhood and this one is very easy to become a regular at.
The food is amazing and is a great substitute for downtown Toronto dining. Bella Notte provides fresh food with unique flavors, it has a great wine selection, and always friendly service. You will need to expect however that on the weekends especially, it will be veryyyyy busy and the service may be slower than usual (standard for any restaurant really), so my advice to you is to purchase a great bottle of wine and enjoy the night with your loved ones. This establishment really gives you the time to enjoy your meal, wine and conversation which is not something done at your run of the mill franchises.
For a great dining experience and a taste of Italy, I highly recommend it!

Their Spanish Coffee wasn't as good as I'd expected, but a decent cup of coffee is a rarity in most restaurants...
My only complaints are that the temperature inside was cold, and the booths seem a little cramped.
