Once i moved to Canada everyone had their idea and place for a good Gyro...to be honest none came even close....Gyros Place in Mississauga on Matheson BLVD though is amazing....I can only say OMG so good...Had chicken gyro and pork one and both were 90% authentic which is in my book practical the same! Fantastic food, great service. Our waitress was perfect. We took a while to decide, and she gave us space and more than enough time, yet she was right there when we were ready. We also got lots of extra appetizers. My husband and I love Sushi........ so we have been to alot of different resturants in the city. We stumbled into Kumo one night just before Christmas, the place was empty and we were a little nervous at first but decided to stay anyways. The place smelt amazing, no sign of fishy-ness anywhere ( I refuse to eat at any sushi resturant that smells of fish) The wonderful and energenic waitress came over and offered some sugestions to start, she suggested the sushi Terimsu 9unsure of spelling) my husband is always up for trying something new but I like my usual rolls and sashimi so I decided that I would try some of his instead of getting two. Let me tell you...... I think my husband got 1 bite. It was amazing!! We ordered a big party tray for dinner, the specialty rolls ( godzilla, spicy girl, kipling, superman) are the best I have ever had! Sushi servings are massive, fish is incredible fresh. The chef is absolutly amazing at what he does, we have been back 3 more times and now leave everything up to him, his home made sauces simple extra touches make the meal!!! We had chef's special sushi and sashimi plate, caterpillar roll, bibimbab. Everything was fresh, nicely presented. I had thick and fresh cuts of tuna, yellow tail, unagi, and even ikura sushi in the sushi plate, it was a nice selection of nigiri sushi. Caterpillar roll was bigger than I thought, and it came with miso soup and salad. One of my Japanese friend ordered bibimbab, and I didn't know it is served in the heated stone pot, it was very unique. The pot was still hot until we finish our meal! We spend around $60 for 3, considering it was dinner time, I guess it's reasonable price. Also we were seated in Tatami room which was very nice. It seems great for small party around 6 people. Food: Last week was my first time trying Koganei so I didn't get to try lots of food. However, Koganei roll was one of the best roll I ever had. it's bit pricey for a roll (almost $15 with tax) but it's worth it. I do not know exactly what's in the roll (it's shrimp tempura roll with some little bit spicy orange-red stuff with tiny fish eggs on the top) but it was amazing. (I wish red stuff on the top was more spicier though.) I also tried miso base noodle soup (noodles and veggies in miso soup) which was salty for my taste. did not really like it. Service: wait staffs were nice and helpful. when i went, there weren't many people in the restaurant so i didn't have to wait long to order and get my food. Atmosphere: table setting seemed little weird to me because little table for 2 people were placed right next to booth but decor was good. Read more

I got here for lunch often because it is close to my work. Prior to that my boyfriend took me a few times too, since he lives nearby and loves the place. I'm quite surprised at some of the reviews here though. I love the place! I feel very welcomed, the service is good, and the atmosphere is quite nice. I've never been disappointed with their food, and find the quality much better than some restaurants. That said, I would note that I find them to be a bit pricey. So overall, it's a great place!
