Took my family here for mother's day and it was very busy! We walked in and wrote gave our names and got a table within 5 minutes. After trying the food I can tell why there were so many customers, the food is mouth-watering! Definitely the best Indian food in the GTA. Won't be going to bras or tandoori flame again. I could tell they were hustling to work as quickly as possible, which can be appreciated in such a busy time. Very clean place, elegant decor. Will be coming back again next week! Read more

Ordered the Blackened Tilapia with Lobster Mash and veg. The Tilapia came out pretty well raw. The waitress was flagged down and the dish returned. The manager showed up forthwith and apologized and had the order removed from the bill. The plate returned with a newly fired filet shortly. It was well flavoured and to be honest I would have gone through the raw fish to get to the Mash , it was outstanding, the veg, carrots and green beans were fresh not frozen. It was a flavourful dish and well executed for psuedo-blackening of a bland fish. I would like to see someone do the traditional Paul Prudholme Blackening instead of the grill and bake "bronzing " that is passed off as Blackening. The mistake was handled well and left me with a favourable impression overall, I would return when in the area. Read more

This is the closest Brampton will get to having a little taste of Britain. It is the best fish and chip I have had since back home. The cod light batter and chip are to die for. Their chicken pot pies and chip are also a good bet for those who don't like fish. The breaded chicken strips are amazing as well, you can get alone with chips or in a wrap. The menu is very extensive for a fish and chip place. Beats Heritage Fish and Chip by far. Gott's the fish is fresh, bigger and more value for your $$$. This place is awesome!!! The restaurant is small but cozy. There was only 1 woman running the show up front and it got quite crowded by late afternoon, but I was impressed by her level of service. We had the mango salad which was bursting with flavor and very originally put together. Even my wife agreed it was deserving of 5 stars. It must be Brampton's best kept restaurant secret. I didn't know La Capannina was open for lunch on weekdays and over the years I was repeatedly told they weren't. Upon discovering this we returned to enjoy an unhurried lunch built around their appetizers. I won't bore you with the details other than to say everything was perfectly executed. Chef Massimo is a perfectionist and sources only the freshest ingredients. A bonus, our waiter was relaxed and throughly professional. The service by the wait staff is excellent. The manager and the owner are both excellent people who are the right fit for this establishment. This is a neighbourhood 'pub' where the patrons and the staff are accomodating, friendly and there is a family feel to the pub. My spouse and I are regulars there now and have enjoyed many meals prepared by their cooks. The meals range from appetizers to their many entrees: toasted western sandwich to the sirloin steak done to perfection. Whatever they prepare is done very well. Only once have I had a complaint but there was a new cook on staff. Things are great now. Try this pub out for a meal and a couple of drinks, you will not be disappointed. Have a game of pool or darts while listening to your favourite music on the techically advanced "juke box". It's not the same anymore. "Come on in to a place where everybody knows your name." Cheers!
