As a ski instructor at Blue I've had 2 accidents in four years resulting in "emergency dept" medical care. On both occasions the care and professionalism of all staff, including admin, nursing care and doctors has been totally exceptional. My latest accident was only a cracked rib but I can attest from my more serious accident (a cervical fracture, emergency surgery and ongoing rehab) that our Health Care system is a marvelous treasure and Collingwood Hospital is a wonderful part of it. Dr. Andrew Dickson is THE Doctor you want to see. We were amazed at the level of care he provided while attending the Wellington walk in clinic. He not only questioned symptoms and examined, he informed me what to watch for and gave advice in the event of the condition worsening. He was very patient with my 6 month old who proceeded to aim kicks at him as he listened to her breathing. He even followed up with us the next day... having never experienced this level of care I am beyond impressed! Read more
